So, I've been writing since before I could really think about what I was doing and, since the age of 18, I was lucky enough to work for my local newspaper as a journalist covering things which were close to my heart.
In my time I've done pretty much everything. I've covered council meetings, court trials, agricultural shows, pantomimes and all points in between and I've loved all of it. Okay, maybe the time I spent the whole of my 21st birthday covering seriously boring court cases wasn't one of the better days, but still, being able to see your words in print is a pretty amazing feeling.
Since I had my son two years ago though, my writing has pretty much come to a standstill. I do a bit of free (being the operative word) lance work for a lovely website called the MamaPack, which is an ethically sourced bag of goodies given out to expecting mums here in the UK.
It's great having a column on the site where I can wax lyrical about whatever takes my fancy but sometimes there's subjects which probably aren't really relevant to its audience so this is where this blog comes in.
It has the same title as my MamaPack blog so hopefully people will be able to find the two and link them together. Hopefully I'll get the chance to write a bit more often too.
